Savills relocates, Postings homes, Edinburgh hotel – Daily Business

Savills is relocating from its West George Street base in Glasgow to Cadworks in Cadogan Street.
The real estate adviser has agreed a 10-year lease with landlord Fore Partnership for 10,000 sq ft. It will move from its current 8,000 sq ft office in September.
Cadworks comprises 94,431 sq ft of prime offices and is now almost fully let.
David Cobban, director, office agency and head of Savills Glasgow, said the move was “a significant move that reinforces our commitment to the city, as well as our expansion over recent years.”
Fore Partnership was advised by Avison Young.
Housing plan for former shopping centre

Housebuilder Cruden has unveiled proposals for affordable homes on the site of the former Postings Shopping Centre in Kirkcaldy town centre.
The Shopping Centre was opened in 1981 and demolished in 2023.
Design proposals include a mix of affordable housing tenures, including properties for those aged over 55. The development will comprise a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, including a series of colony houses.
Homes will be owned by Kingdom Housing Association alongside Fife Council as part of a long-standing partnership to deliver affordable housing across Fife.
Edinburgh hotel approved

A proposed 109-bedroom hotel at Cameron Toll in Edinburgh has been approved by city councillors.
Developer Hunter REIM has agreed to meet a condition that would reduce oversight of the neighbouring Dunedin School.
