Artisanal Spirits Co launches Vietnam franchise – Daily Business

Whisky curator, The Artisanal Spirits Company, owner of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS), has launched a franchise in Vietnam.

It will allow SMSW to serve members in one of the world’s top 10 markets for ultra-premium scotch whisky, with an estimated market of $239 million.

The development marks another milestone in the group’s expansion in Asia, complementing recent franchise launches in Korea and Taiwan, alongside the longer established China and Japan subsidiaries.

ASC’s purpose is to captivate a global community of “whisky adventurers”, by creating and selling outstanding, limited-edition whiskies and experiences around the world with an ambition to create a high quality, highly profitable and cash generative, premium global business.

Based in Edinburgh, ASC also owns Single Cask Nation and JG Thomson. It owns more than 18,000 casks primarily comprising single malt scotch whisky. ASC’s stock includes outstanding whisky (and other spirits) from 150 distilleries in 20 countries which is sold to members as individual bottles and whole casks.
