Lothian takes chair at Entrepreneurial Scotland – Daily Business

Andy Lothian, co-founder and chief executive of Insights Group, has been appointed chairman of Entrepreneurial Scotland, succeeding Colin Robertson, who has served in the role since 2018. 

Mr Lothian last year became a trustee of Entrepreneurial Scotland which continues to develop the next generation of leaders through its flagship Saltire Scholars Internship Programme and peer-based membership initiative, The Exchange. 

He has grown Insights Group, a global people development organisation headquartered in Dundee, to more than £97.6 million in turnover, employing more than 700 people, with more than 10,000 practitioners operating in over 40 countries.

He said: “Scotland’s future depends on developing ambitious, inspiring leaders who can turn vision into action. Entrepreneurial Scotland plays a vital role in building that pipeline – equipping individuals with the belief, mindset and connections they need to lead transformational growth.”

Mr Robertson, chairman and founder of Robertson Campbell Investments, has expanded Entrepreneurial Scotland’s Saltire Scholar Internship Programme – supporting nearly 1,000 students to undertake life changing internships around the world and investing millions in their development.

He also oversaw the launch of The Exchange, a peer network for senior business leaders, further strengthening the charity’s role as a champion of entrepreneurial thinking in Scotland.
