Travel technology veteran acquires London rival – Daily Business

A Scotland-based veteran in the travel compliance sector has acquired London-based Visa Group.
Neil Thomson, who set up Visas2, joins forces with Visa Group founder and managing director Faisal Syed, who also has long experience in the business.
With offices in Aberdeen and London, Visas2 offers a compliance-led service model to support corporates seeking visa, passport and other documentation requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
The acquisition establishes an immediate presence in key markets and creates a strong platform for growth. While the initial focus is on organic expansion, further acquisitions are an option.
Mr Thomson, co-managing partner of Visas2, previously built and sold Aberdeen-based The Visa Team to a global provider and has more than 20 years’ industry experience. He said: “This strategic acquisition provided the ideal foundation for launching Visas2.
“It gives us access to experienced staff and an established presence in key markets. The response from the market has been outstanding.”
Mr Syed, co-managing partner of Visas2, said: “The opportunity to help shape Visas2 from day one is a compelling next step, and I’m looking forward to what we can achieve.”
Global demand for immigration and visa services is rising sharply, with the market projected to exceed £30 billion by 2032. Demand for visa outsourcing services is also expected to nearly double in the next five years, driven by digitalisation, rising global mobility, and the trend toward outsourcing.
