Maven backs Podfather’s fleet management software – Daily Business

Maven Capital Partners has completed a £3.4 million investment in Edinburgh-based software company Epod Solutions Group, trading as Podfather.
Podfather’s product is designed to streamline fleet operations.
The transaction includes funding from Maven Investor Partners and IFS Maven Equity Finance, from the Investment Fund for Scotland, managed by Maven and delivered by the British Business Bank.
The investment will be used to further scale and internationalise the business, as well as support the rollout of its latest enterprise software solution.
Established 25 years ago, Podfather operates across multiple industries, including logistics, construction, food & drink, and healthcare.
The fleet management solutions market is experiencing strong growth, driven by the increased use of remote fleet management technology by operators seeking to improve efficiency, sustainability and safety. This increased adoption means the market is expected to reach $84.3 billion by 2032, at a CAGR of 17.4% (Source: Meticulous Research).
Colin McCreadie, managing director at Podfather, said: “Maven’s backing comes at an exciting time for Podfather as we continue to innovate and scale.
“We are working to bring a new, innovative product to market, and through this partnership, we can accelerate that launch process.”
David Milroy, partner at Maven, said: “With our backing, and the clear ambition of Colin and his team, we are confident Podfather’s growth strategy can be realised and we look forward to helping the business capitalise on the growing market opportunity.”
