Yates Hellier expands with CIB Residential deal – Daily Business

Lettings and estate agency Yates Hellier has acquired Glasgow-based CIB Residential following the retirement of its founder, Ronnie Carpenter.

Founded in 2013 by Jack Hellier and Ross Yates, Yates Hellier sees the deal as a commitment to the city’s west end following last year’s launch of a sales branch in Hyndland Road.

CIB Residential was established in 1987 and is based in Byres Road. Its portfolio of 250 managed properties is located mainly in the local area.

Mr Carpenter said: “It was important to me to pass the business on to a company that genuinely cares.”

The acquisition brings Yates Hellier’s total managed portfolio to over 600 properties.

Mr Hellier, managing director, said: “This acquisition made perfect sense for us. When the opportunity arose to acquire CIB, whose portfolio is located within our core operating area, I could see it was the perfect fit.”
