Martin to be unveiled as next Rangers manager – Daily Business

Russell Martin is expected to be unveiled as Rangers new coach, probably today, as the 39-year-old emerged as the favoured candidate for the Ibrox job.

The club spoke to former Real Madrid assistant manager Davide Ancelotti and former Feyenoord manager Brian Priske, but has opted for the former MK Dons, Swansea and Southampton manager.

He will succeed interim manager Barry Ferguson, who stepped in when Philippe Clement was dismissed in February.

Martin is expected to bring his former assistants Matt Gill and Rhys Owens to Ibrox, along with former Rangers defender Maurice Ross.
